Did you know that in most of our holiday packages, the mountain railway transit costs are included and more often than not you can also transport your bike free of charge too. For bargain hunters, Graubünden has a lot to offer; The rope park (Seilpark) in Arosa, the bathing area in Savognin and recreation complex in Lai Barnagn are all free of charge, as are the spectacular views across the region!
You can look forward to the 11,000 km of marked hiking trails leading over the peaks and across the famous glaciers. Enjoy the stunning mountain scenery with sunny meadows juxtaposed against the backdrop of the towering Alps. Along our picturesque hiking trails you can find plenty of wildlife for some great pictures. The symbolic animal of the canton, the Ibex is only one of the many animals that can be found in Graubünden. With over 4,000 km of marked biking routes for all levels of difficulty across the most beautiful corners of our canton, it’s easy to see why Graubünden is considered to be a Mecca for mountain bike enthusiasts. From single race trails, relaxed day tours, to even multi-day excursions, you will find a trail to suit your pace and ability.
At the source of the Rhine River is found a whole host of pure mountain water resources. It’s possibly one of the greatest things about the area; you can always stop and get a fresh, cool drink from the streams or take a dip in one of the 615 bathing lakes! Water sports of all kinds are always available on the Rhine and inland rivers, training for learners is also available in most places. In addition to these natural resources you will find the adventure pools and one-of-a-kind oases, such as the Felsentherme in Vals designed by architect Peter Zumthor as well as the Engadin Bad Scuol.

The 384km long network of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) runs along the famous Albula/Bernina line (a UNESCO World Heritage site) while the Glacier Express is widely regarded as one of the best ways to see the Swiss countryside with its powerful skyline. The Albula and Bernina route between Thusis in Graubünden and Tirano in Italy is one of the most spectacular examples of innovative developments in the alpine regions, where you can find one of the highest-altitude railways in the World.
