Ski resort Sedrun

by Heidi Meier-Nussbaumer, guest consultant

For 25 years I have lived and worked in Sedrun. As a mother of two children, I've learned to appreciate its unrivalled offering: a ski paradise for the little ones in town. Our ski area, with its wide, gently sloping runs, is simply perfect for families. I am glad to present some of its highlights below.

As you leave your house in Sedrun, you will find the ski area in just about five minutes. Then, you may go visit the fun park, which grows every year. In addition to various rails and kickers, you can also use a half-pipe and try your skill at skiing and boarder-cross. On certain weekends, Sedrun hosts cross official competitions. Another tip for ski enthusiasts, the snow-night on Thursday evening, with exhilarating descents on well-lit trails.

The ski resort offers a wide variety of restaurants and apres-ski bars. Those who like the Val-Val and pass by Oberalppass should try the homemade pasta at the restaurant Alpsu. While eating, you can enjoy a unique view of the lighthouse. This is the connection between the source of the Rhine, located near the Oberalppass, and the estuary of Rotterdam. Youngsters meet in Las Palas and the Tegiadilnurser. For sun worshippers, we recommend the large terrace in Milez.

The Andermatt ski area is just one stone's throw away from Sedrun. The areas of Sedrun, Nätschen, and Andermatt form a tariff association and are connected via a shuttle-service, which opens a plethora of enjoyment opportunities to our guests.

Whether you are travelling with children or not, I am sure you will feel comfortable with us. Please find further advice and information on your Sedrun vacation on this page. I wish you sunny and joyful days.
